EAST OF ENGLAND PORT REGENERATION

Working with Pringle Brandon Architects, Surface to Air developed a mixed use scheme consisting of a 1000 boat marina, 1000 new residences, retail, cinema and a new beach. The concept was to create a new development which responded to the context of the lowrise quality of the existing town, developed a new contemporary promenade and waterfront presence for the town while retaining the character and qualities of the existing area. The architecture responded to the shapes and forms of the surrounding seafaring artifacts and existing buildings.
