BSEC 2011 - DESIGN MY LEARNING SPACE

As part of BSEC 2011, Surface to Air Architects, EC Harris and the RIBA Young Practitioners Panel invited young architects and schools to design their ideal learning spaces. The teams were made up of around two to four architects and four school children. On the first day there were three primary schools in attendance and on the second there were five secondary schools. From battle ships to biodiversity roof spaces, each team came up with both imaginative and practical ideas. As difficult as it was to decide the ultimate winner of design my learning space live, at the end of each day each team was award with prizes supplied by Steljes, Royal and Langnickle and Letraset. The day was a fantastic success and both schools and architects went away from the day feeling as if they had achieved great things.
